Gymnocactus ysabelae (placed in Turbincarpus as T. saueri ssp ysabelae, last I checked- years ago! I just like the old name😁 ) I've had the plant since sometime before 2007, always flowers late winter. Not quite fully open in this vid, it has made several flowers, one at a time over the last couple of weeks. I'm thinking I might give it a good wash or brushing this year (besides repot!!) as plants in nature/outdoors would not retain so much wool, and it may be suffering lack of light as a result- it is not etiolated, but maybe could be more vigorous? (these are not rambunctious plants, so it's hard to tell..) music excerpt: Swans in Flight by Asher Fulero
