Draba flowers in the rock garden won the race this year (as often) for first flowers in the gardens- just a couple open yesterday. Today, right on time for Earth Day, there were more: a couple of Crocus, Snowdrops, Scilla and (Pseudo)Muscari. Nature gives us so much beauty and joy, but beyond that, Earth gives us our lives, our home, our food, our air! We have to start taking the damage we are doing collectively and individually more seriously- the overconsumption, habitat destruction, mountains of non-biodegradable waste- we are choking the planet, and if she cannot breathe, we cannot breathe...
