After a cold stretch in February (not extreme for us, but long for us) we've now had a stretch of above average days- warm and dry with snow gradually melting, bare areas growing, puddles growing! A brief interruption to that trend yesterday with some fresh snow and a cooler- though not cold- day. Our snowfall this winter has been lower than average, so any snow now ( it can still snow here for a couple of months or more) will help to avoid moisture deficits over the growing season.
