April 23. Flowers are popping up in the rock gardens, and the native bees are ready! These tiny ones are the first species I've seen for the year. Meanwhile, on the wild willows, more honeybees. I think I spotted another native bee out there but didn't get a clear look or shot, plus pretty sure a bumblebee zoomed past! and lots of cool flies around- there are many kinds over the season, and many are important pollinators.
