Peperomia albovittata Piccolo Banda, sold as P. Peacock. I'm not clear whether any of these horticultural or cultivar names are valid or actually distinct from the species, or whether they are simply names attached for commercial purposes to the original form of the plant. In any case, it is a nice smallish Peperomia I bought a while back (couple of years?). It did well for quite a while, then I nearly lost it. I suspect the commercial soil it was still in had lost its vitality- most nursery soils are sterile, needing regular fertilising, and also are meant to be replaced frequently as the plant grows, so they can lose texture after a while, becoming compacted, not allowing vital oxygen to reach the roots, and either not absorbing moisture or not letting go of it, or both! Anyway, some bits remained that I potted up, and much later, here are some of the results.
Happy Rescued Peperomia (Sorry, I'm the one who abused it!)
