This is a off the cuff discussion which is a response to some other videos about the whole RedHat news more recently. But looking at it from a the thousand mile view.

One thing I wish I could explain, is how much trust and alignment really goes into the parasocial relationships we all have with our favourite open source projects. And to ask yourself if you really are a constituent of the projects that you depend on, or if you are just coincidently aligned.

Either way, look at the relationships you're building and what those mean for your project and your software.
