This is a bit of a history and conversation with how we articulate what exactly it is that we think we're doing in the Free Software world.

There will be many people who don't agree, and that's ok.

But I hope this explains at least a bit what motivates people and maybe even some of the overly excited reply guys who are often so very tiresome.
