The Society for European Moderated Equality Networks | A sketch about DEI, obviously headed by men

#SchumanShow Imagine a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion association headed by old, straight, white men. (Wait, that's not actually that hard to imagine...) That's what the Society for European Moderated Equality Networks -- also known by its acronym, SEMEN -- is all about.

In this comedy sketch, you find Peter, Peter, and Pierre, chairmen and members of the DEI association. They're meeting to discuss the recent rebranding of their EU Joint Undertaking, as well as pertinent topics of women's rights; ethnic diversity; and the LGBTQIA+ community in Europe. Pierre, a smidge younger than the other two Peters, is slightly more progressive and on top of the agenda. Beyond the important DEI issues they discuss, they also need to come to a consensus on who to replace Peter as SEMEN chairman since he'll be taking on a new job as the EU commissioner for youth. Will the Peters (and Pierre) be able to see eye-to-eye on these topics? Are they really the best people to be deciding on these, anyway? Watch now and see for yourself!

✨ Written by Louise Day, and performed by Paul Dallison, Meyas Al Mansour, and Tristan Barber. Director Gabriel Soler. Theatre coach & Choreographer Edward McMillan.
