#TheSchumanShow Join our favourite EU spokesperson, Margaritis Funkyboogaloo-Smythe, as he brings you another edition of the Midday Briefing! Watch now as The Schuman Show always brings you a quick rundown of what's been going on in European and global politics lately, and how the EU chose to respond.
In this Midday Briefing, the EU spokesperson discusses the most recent things that the European Commission is concerned about. The European Council has been a success, with EU top jobs having been agreed upon by European leaders. As president von der Leyen is seeking allies to support her ascension for a second mandate, there's been some news that she is repressing Italian media freedoms. To be clear - she LOVES Italy, and is besties with Giorgia Meloni. In other news, Belgium's presidency of the Council of the EU comes to an end... and it wasn't a great time. But hey, at least the Hungarians are taking over! The Paris Olympics are ramping up, and the European Commission has some cheeky suggestions for the 2028 Los Angeles games. Lastly, a nod to jumping in the Seine and in the Brussels' canals... even if they're not the safest to swim in. Watch now to learn more!
