#SchumanShow Have you ever been curious about what it means to be in charge of foreign policy? The cast of the Schuman Show bring you a sketch straight from the European External Action Service, where the office is getting ready to welcome its new High Representative.
Late 2024. It's Josep Borrell's last day in office at the EEAS, and he's getting ready to hand over the reins to Kaja Kallas as High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (say that 5 times fast!). Being the HR/VP is a trying job, and not everyone is cut out for it. The EU's foreign policy was headed by Spain's Josep Borrell for the last five years, and he's been known for his own controversies surrounded the job -- 'Europe is a garden', anyone? But with the new mandate comes a new player, and Estonia's Kallas has always been known to be a serious professional. But what should she expect in her new position? Thankfully, there's a handover procedure for the job - and Borrell and his assistant are ready to explain the ins and outs to the successor. Watch now!
✨ Written by Daniel Mora, and performed by Louise Day, Daniel Mora, and Meyas Al Mansour. Director Gabriel Soler. Theatre coach & Choreographer Edward McMillan.
