Like hundreds of other young Cuban baseball players, Roberto Hernández left his country in pursuit of the “American dream.”

Roberto signed a $320,000 deal with an MLB team and soon was blowing away batters in the Dominican Summer League with a 94 mph fastball and a wicked slider.

But money and professional success didn’t bring him happiness, and Robert made a surprising decision – to return to Cuba.
