Russian surgeon Yuri Yevich complains about deadly "human wave" attacks and speculates that "Putin doesn't know"

The video is one of many similar videos in which Russian soldiers and their families complain about violence, abuse and merciless disrespect of human life presented by Russian army and government. A military surgeon Yuri Yevich speculates that "probably reports of this abuse don't reach Putin", making a perfect paraphrase of similar WW2 German saying "if only Fuehrer knew!" (wenn das der Führer wüsste). The main problem here is however that, as a military surgeon Yevich had been, now for three years, working for and supporting the very system in which these “human waves”, extortion, violence and extrajudicial executions are fundamental governance instruments of the Russian state. And they always had been - the only surprise factor for him seems to be that he likely believed these violent instruments will be applied to residents of Ukraine and later Poland etc, rather than to patriotic Russians, who were only expected to gain profits from looting, medals and new territories. And they're the first to suffer! Apparently, this hopeless and childish belief in "good Tsar and bad Boyars" is a widespread sentiment among Russian soldiers.

P.S. also note the Stalinist Red Army flag behind him
