Russian President Vladimir Putin says that the private military company "Wagner" was 100% financed from the state budget. From May 2022 to May 2023, more than 86 billion rubles ($1 billion) was spent on the PMC. In addition, the Concord holding company, owned by Yevgeny Prigozhin, received another 80 billion rubles from the Russian Federation.On the night of 24 June, an attempted armed mutiny was made in Russia by PMC ‘Wagner’ and its founder Yevgeny Prigozhin. I'm posting this video because you can still see Putinverstehers who deny that "Wagner" was part of Russian army or even associated with Russian government, and Putin declared this attribution very clearly. Even more absurdly, Russian law explicitly bands existence of "private military companies" and the only military force authorised in the country is Russian army - which is there was no such thing as "PMC", it was a branch of Russian GRU which used a private company as a cover.
