The Russian Minister of Transport, Roman Starovoyt, has publicly confirmed the mass looting of homes and private property by the Russian military and organised marauding bands in the frontline territories. The applause following his words is noteworthy - some Russians had already discovered this phenomenon in the summer, after Russian troops had entered the Kursk region to liberate it but in their spare time were engaged in robbing houses, but talking about it publicly was a taboo so far. Starovoyt also directly said that the soldiers were sending the looted property home with courier companies - and this is exactly a repetition of the situation in 2022 when the Russians were sending property stolen in Kyiv oblast by Belarusian branches of shipping companies, which at the time Russian propaganda, followed by pro-Russian channels abroad, categorically denied calling it ‘Russophobia’.
