A police officer was found guilty of manslaughter and attempted murder for fatally shooting a stranded black motorist. The cop had lied, falsely claiming that he identified himself as a police officer before aggressively approaching Corey Jones and then killing him as Jones sat in his car, on the phone with roadside assistance in Florida. Fortunately the phone call was recorded, and that recording led to a the truth being known.
