NOTE FROM THE ARTIST (DIANA SUSANTI):
"As its cultures and sure, its music. I found myself in music, and I fell into it, when I for the first time, did my job as a choir conductor at my Elementary School, here in Timika. And which composition I fell into music, and then continues through the years ahead, is Mr. (Alm.) Ismail Marzuki's infamous composition, titled "Gugur Bungaku Di Taman Bakti". Although everyone knows this composition as a theme for the occasion to remember the most-bleak history of Indonesia, I found myself a deeper meaning of this composition, a feeling of great sorrow and sacrifice of every hero for Love and Peace. As I grew up, I studied so many cultures, including their music, from East to West, from Papua to Europe. And I had a great desire to bring my all-time composition, this "Gugur Bunga" to the next level of rich compositions. And Alhamdulillah, this year I did, which I tried so hard to re-arrange this composition in the Azerbaijani Mugham (Mode: Modified Shur), Qawwali, and also its essence, Classical European. I performed all of those Mugham and Qawwali instruments by myself, with my own Oud, Tar, Qanun, Santoor, and Sitar, and also a little bit of Kamanche. I found peace in my arrangement, rich in instruments. Also in a collaboration with our Classiceastique Music Orchestra, it brought a lot more harmony. I present this new arrangement for my most-favorite composition, "Gugur Bunga", to you all. Especially I dedicated this masterpiece to everyone but not limited to Indonesia, who sacrificed their lives for love, peace, happiness, and prosperity to anyone else in this world, God Bless you all. For listeners, I hope you enjoy it. Salaam"
