This highway can be very busy at times, especially in summer, and there is a project underway to twin the full length between Rocky Mountain House and Red Deer- last I saw some sections near Sylvan Lake had been done, but apart from a couple of short passing zones like this one, it is mostly just 2 lane. This 4 lane stretch always gives difficulties for the snow plows to clear effectively. The snow hasn't been heavy, but a couple/few cms at a time for several days. Still not warm, but warm enough for the slick areas to have cleared.
