The car didn't start for a few of the coldest days, in spite of being plugged in (starting to wonder whether the block heater is working! or maybe time for a new battery, though it has been good, otherwise...). Monday and Tuesday finally saw some warmer temperatures, plus a heater put just under the car for a while, and bingo! To help make sure it was thoroughly warmed and top up on supplies, on Wednesday we went to Rocky Mountain House (32km/20 miles each way).
