ok can we talk about this this version trims out an entire minute of the song, and it still feels like a complete song. it doesn't Feel like anything is cut, but meanwhile i cut out an entire minute of filler padding shit. and, fucking somehow, after taking out the filler padding shit, the length ends up being exactly 2:30. like, come the fuck on i love how he sings stuff like "so how am i supposed to fit this in three minutes and thirty seconds" (or "two minutes" in this version) like he just has so much to say in such a short timeframe, and meanwhile like the entire second half of the original song is just the chorus repeated a few more times with some instrumental stuff in-between to pad it out so the name of the song makes sense, plus a long fadeout and a few seconds of silence at the end so they can pretend it's actually 3:30 and not like 3:27 (i also copy the fadeout+silence in this version, since that's clearly fair game, actually i think this version has like a fraction of a second less silence at the end than the original lol) i've been meaning to get this off my chest for a while. ever since i first heard this song i've joked about how they could've made it two thirty, but now i can finally prove that yes actually they absolutely could've made it two thirty, and i can also finally put this song in my mix and not get bored listening to it, because it's a damn good song, it's just repetitive thank you for listening to my podcast
