The Night Owl Murder has you play as the detective that is investigating a murder in a very film-noir aesthetic realised with cool pixelart. Though people also have bio chips in the game so it is cyber noir. And let me note, when our detective Kane said "who hasn't these days" regarding the biochips someone indeed walked by my window with one of those hearing aids that look like wires come out of the person's head. That freaked me out a little and made it way more immersive for me than anything else. But that aside I enjoyed listening to the music and solving the murder case in the future with these interesting characters. The time constraint is a fun idea but actually it is so long you can inspect all evidence a few times and still solve the case in time. But the game was made in 2 days for a ludum dare compo, so the complete voice acting done in that timeframe is very impressive and that gamejam was the real time constraint I think...

How to play:

You need to solve the case before a chip in victim's head runs of out time. However, the time passes ONLY through your actions. So feel free to read and listen to dialogues in your own pace. Time passes only when you click on a dialogue option. Time is limited so choose wisely!
