An in-depth exploration of how OpenBSD uses fdisk(8), disklabel(8), installboot(8) and its installation scripts to take a block device and create a set of usable filesystems which is optionally a bootable environment. The emphasis will be on recent work involving GPT, UEFI and overcoming Arm, Arm64, Riscv64, Powerpc64 and Apple Silicon obstacles.
