Although this lecture is based on Windows 8 all the concepts are still valid in Windows 10. Windows 8-10 is designed to keep user data separate from every other individual who logs on to that PC. Not only is data carefully separated but that data is also secure from another user that uses the same Windows PC. The Windows registry is a critical component of user profiles. Profiles are critical to applications that install on your PC. IT professionals must understand Windows Profiles and the folders and files that are critical to this function. Ntuser.dat is a registry key for each user.
