This is my first jam of #Jamuary23!
Had some fun with an almost complete @Bastlinstruments setup!
My goal was to sync the Kastl Drum with the Kastl. I managed to sync it, but somehow the synth sound was in a much slower tempo. No idea how I did this (if you know, please leave a comment).
From all the recordings I made during this jam I choose this one to built upon a bit further. the output of the Dude was connected with the audio in of my NTS-1 which was added reverb a bit of delay and a tiny bit of chorus. This was recorded into the Zoom-H5. I've edited the recording in Audacity: duplicated the recorded tracks a few times and pitched these 3 semitones higher and lower than the original and panned these with the original tracks to give it a bit more depth. The movie was edited using Kdenlive on Ubuntu Linux 22.04
Tools used:
- Bastl Kastl 1.5 (https://bastl-instruments.com/instruments/kastle)
- Bastl Kastl Drum (https://bastl-instruments.com/instruments/kastle-drum)
- Bastl Dude (https://bastl-instruments.com/instruments/dude)
- Korg NTS-1 (https://www.korg.com/us/products/dj/nts_1/)
- Zoom-H5 (https://zoomcorp.com/en/us/handheld-recorders/handheld-recorders/h5/)
- Audacity (https://www.audacityteam.org)
- Kdenlive (https://kdenlive.org/en/)
- Ubuntu Linux (https://ubuntu.com)
Except for the Korg everything was running from rechargeable AA batteries. Since the Korg could have been powered with a powerbank this would be a nice setup for on the go!
