The Sword and the Claw - AKA Lionman - AKA Kilik Aslan

Cüneyt Arkın stars in this wild and wacky action film in which a man raised by lions eventually finds himself with heavy iron hammer/claw prosthetic fists.

It's badly dubbed, clearly missing scenes due to censorship, and among the more beautiful films I've ever seen, with fights that feature more people being launched off trampolines than you might otherwise expect.

There are some suggestive scenes and some implicit nudity, but I don't recall seeing anything that I should mark as sensitive. There is a brief scene of implied sexual assault, but it's over quickly and the perpetrator gets pretty viciously beaten by the Lionman.

This is the AGFA release, which is currently out of print. If they start making discs again, I'll take it down.

AS far as I'm aware, due to the the way this film was released in the US, it should actually be in the public domain, but ... Well, I've said that international copyright law is a mess enough times. I don't know! I'm not a lawyer. I think, based on my understanding of the law that I'm in the clear to share this, but I'm only actually sharing it because it's not currently commercially available.

So, yeah! The Sword and the Claw. One of my favorite films of all time.
