The residents of Ein Samiya, east Ramallah, have been forcibly expelled from their land through Israeli coercion. Under complete Israeli military control, state policies in Area C place extreme restrictions on Palestinian life, forcing them to abide by strict and arbitrary building laws or risk demolitions. This is coupled with harassment from the Israeli army and, in many cases, state-backed settler violence.
