Homeless residents of Mariupol continue to record appeals to the occupational authorities asking them to return their war-destroyed homes, but to no avail. A popular tactics of the authorities involves demolishing the damaged houses and building completely new ones on their place, but apartments there are simply put on the market rather than returned to their previous owners. The outraged residents in this video however quote a new, previously unheard excuse by the Russian authorities who simply blame... Ukraine for destruction of the town and offer the residents to request new apartments from authorities of Ukraine, not Russia. Destruction inflicted on Mariupol by the Russian siege in 2022 is however very well documented, as initially Russian media boasted about how efficient they were in destroying houses in the town.
