After Russian destruction of Mariupol, the occupation authorities declared it's fine "because we will rebuild everything". The reality is that Russian authorities have built some new houses on the most attractive land parcels in the town and put them on commercial market, while few of the original residents received their accommodation back. A woman from Mariupol who complained about it online was attacked by hundreds of angry Russians who claimed it's a "fake" and "she's not even from Mariupol". In response she recorded this video showing clearly how the houses in Mariupol look like as of end of 2024.
