The previous video seemed to strike some confusion because I didn't successfully perform the ground pound everytime, so I remade it with better quality, and I made it easier to understand.

This is me doing a ground pound out of a long jump in Super Mario Galaxy. The music you hear is the boss music from the music glitch that I demonstrated in my other video. See the bottom of the description for that video.

Normally, you can't do a ground pound while you're in the middle of a long jump, but if you do a spin by shaking the Wii Remote and press Z to ground pound at the same exact time, you'll ground pound out of one. This can be very useful in speed runs. I find it easier to pull off when I cross my arms and press Z at the same time.

The strange part about this ground pound is that it can act like a spin as well, depending on how well you did it. For example, if you do it in the middle of a circle of rocks, star bits might come out.
