In June 2022 Russia's minister of foreign affairs Maria Zakharova delivered an intriguing and angry lecture about... borscht soup, popular in Eastern Europe. In her speech Zakharova completely invented an European and Ukrainian "ban on food recipes", then equated it with "Nazism" but what was the most entertaining in her speech was not the contents but the form of delivery. Many people interpreted her incoherent and slowed down mumbling as a sign of being under influence of alcohol, which Zakharova was never too reluctant to use.
