Snow Flurries in the Boreal Forest-Heading to Cut Firewood

time6 mo agoview4 views

Sometimes my timing is not great- we were forecast a chance of flurries, but there had been nothing all morning. Just as I headed out in early afternoon to cut firewood in the bush- the snow was dumping down! It wasn't cold, and it was really beautiful out, but not ideal for cutting firewood if it's going to get covered in snow... Luckily, it only snowed heavily for a short time, then just some lazy flakes after that- Snow Mother was kind to me! I started by dragging back some pieces of trees that fell in recent wind, and then the snow had almost completely stopped by the time I was ready to actually cut and split- and I got a load of that done!
