A police officer in Salt Lake City, Utah, has been suspended and was charged with a felony for for ordering his dog to viciously attack a black man in the man's own yard. The man has undergone multiple surgeries for his injuries. A felony charge of 2nd degree assault was filed against the police officer. Prosecutors say that the black man was being compliant, was not an imminent threat, and was not fleeing. More details here:
