This sneak speak into a feature which will be available in Inkscape 1.2 next year, and is available today in the developer builds (https://inkscape.org/release/inkscape-dev/)

It allows the user to set specific locations for any side or center point of the given object. No more jiggling! No more adjusting widths and then having to use the align and distribute to get it back in position!
