We will benchmark RAID 0, RAID 5, RAID 6, and RAID 10. Compare NVMe with spindle disks for RAID performance. Using CrystalDiskMark to benchmark disk and RAID performance. We will explore what happens with RAID disk failures on performance and their impact on applications running on your server.

Complex software, hardware, and network layers make measuring storage performance challenging. We will sort out the layers and concepts and better understand how to benchmark our storage and understand the impact of RAID.

CrystalDiskMark will be a GUI benchmark tool we will explain and use to test single SATA, NVMe drives, and Server single SAS drives.
