3 October 2023: Russian propagandist Margarita Simonyan proposes to conduct a thermonuclear explosion "somewhere on our territory, over Siberia for example" which will lead to "global malfunction of all electronics and communications" and "take us back to some 1993". This led to an outcry among Russian experts and, especially, residents of Siberia which made her retract her statement and claim she "never said that". By the way, she clearly never heard of inverse-square law.
