So, I decided to try the Latin fusion sushi from my local Mexican supermarket! DO NOT TRY THE LATIN FUSION SUSHI FROM YOUR LOCAL MEXICAN SUPERMARKET. WE MEXICANS ARE NOT FAMOUS FOR OUR SUSHI-MAKING ABILITY.
Also, is it gentrification if 1) it's Mexicans doing it and 2) it fucking sucks? Like, who are we hurting here, besides ourselves? Not like Japanese people are coming into our stores to try our sushi. Is it cultural appropriation if it's removed everything good about the original thing and replaced it with mango and cream cheese?
