Let us introduce the newest member of ISSI: The ISSI Mural.

Over four months in 2025, our two ISSI Staff members C. Baier and Fabio Crameri dedicated themselves to create a wall-sized artwork. The goal is to represent ISSI, welcome our visitors, and provide the inspiration to the science done here. The ISSI Mural celebrates space science, human-driven exploration, and the spirit of collaboration that defines our institute.

Featuring a 3-D Earth and Moon, a swirling galaxy, Jupiter, JWST, a SENTINEL satellite, a curious alien (yes, yes), and many other hidden „Easter eggs“, it stands proudly representing ISSI’s four scientific disciplines. Dive into the making-of our wall with a story!
