The new revolutionary observations from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), one of the most ambitious scientific experiments of the 21st century, are adding new energy to the debate on the beginning of the Universe, and are challenging our current understanding.
Here, we bring you face-to-face with Dr. Taylor Hutchison from the NASA Goddard Space Flight Centre in the USA, who was part of ISSI's first 'Break-through Workshop' on the early universe. Together with almost 50 other experts on the topic, Taylor developed a comprehensive and shared understanding of the chronology of the first Billion years in the evolution of the Universe, according to JWST.
Listen to Taylor as she talks about the workshop's progress, her own effort to level the academic playground for all early-career scientists, and ...mummies.
