There’s a reason for such extreme measures and the inclusion of words you can only see under a microscope or threads that glow under ultraviolet light. It’s all part of the business of stopping counterfeiters. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing, which makes the bills you hold, has an efficient operation for that. It’s not quite the same at the US Mint. Are the days of coins numbered?
