In 2014, during the political crisis in Ukraine, Russian president's advisor Sergey Glazyev spent weeks coordinating work of pro-Russian militant groups in Ukraine, including violent actions against Ukrainian administration, supply of weapons and funding. Many of his calls were intercepted by Ukrainian SBU, which later published them, proving that Russia had been funneling millions of dollars into pro-Russian riots in Ukraine and provoked violent events which led to tragedies, such as 2 May clashes in Odesa.
