On the morning of 6 March, the Russians decided to break through with a column of armoured vehicles into Chasiv Yar. More than two dozen vehicles, including airborne combat vehicles, moved one by one towards the positions of the 24th King Danylo Brigade of Ukraine. They were met infantry, artillery and drone crews. As a result, the Russian convoy at some point got stuck in a traffic jam - a cluster of damaged vehicles blocked the crossing of the Canal. The survivors hit the reverse gear, but not everyone managed to escape. At least 14 pieces of equipment burned down or remained on the battlefield, while others decided not to tempt fate and retreated.
In total, the occupiers used about 25 units of equipment (including engineering vehicles), 11 vehicles were destroyed, five more were damaged. Preliminary enemy losses in manpower - at least 33 soldiers killed and wounded.
