👉O Departamento de Defesa dos EUA tem como objectivo “ter sempre robôs, e não soldados, a efectuar o primeiro contacto com o inimigo”.

👉Os sistemas robóticos estão a ser desenvolvidos para executar tudo, desde vigilância até execuções.

👉Com um exército de "robôs assassinos autónomos", deixa de haver a preocupação da ética. Se um governo quiser lançá-los contra o seu próprio povo, eles não terão qualquer problema em cumprir essas ordens.

👉 In the military, a “kill chain” refers to the sequential process of finding, fixing, following, targeting, attacking and assessing a target. And the US military war machine has discovered that humans aren't as willing to kill as they'd like them to be.

After World War II, studies conducted by Brigadier General S.L.A. Marshall showed that only 20% of US infantrymen fired their weapons at the enemy, even when under direct threat. He attributed this to the innate human resistance to killing.

The 2011 National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health concluded that soldiers who believed they had killed in combat were at greater risk of suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression and suicidal thoughts.
