Dmitry Peskov says when the war may end

Dmitry Peskov responds a question about when the war may end and speaks quite openly about 1) ‘war’ (not any ‘special operation’), 2) war ‘between Russia and NATO’. Peskov points out that ‘the war started against the "Kyiv regime" but is now being fought with NATO’. And he adds that the war will continue until Russia achieves ‘its goals’. As a reminder, these goals in relation to NATO were defined in Russia's 2021 ultimatum and should therefore be understood not only in the narrow scope of some form of subjugation of Ukraine, but also the withdrawal of NATO forces from Central and Eastern Europe, i.e. also Poland. Of course, Russia's goals are one thing and reality is another - but what the latter will look like in the future depends above all on our determination to resist Kremlin imperialism shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine, which is the first but not the last goal, just as Poland was in 1920 and 1939.
