Building a Guitar Speaker Power Reduction Box

My vast collection of rheostats (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-66e-kxP4iM) will finally come in handy! Using a low-ohm one to make a power attenuator box, which is plugged in between a guitar amp and a cabinet, so that you can crank the amp up all the way to "The Spinal Tap" 11 (if it supports this!) and get that nice overdriven sound while not pumping all those decibels into your neighbors' ears. The design balances the power between the speaker and dummy load, letting more or less steam off.
