Russian politician Aleksandr Boroday honestly explains that the war with Ukraine is so "cruel and bloody" because they dared to have their own vision of the future, which doesn't include living in the Russian sphere of influence. Boroday effectively confirms what many experts have been explaining - it's not a war about language or resources, it's a war about the choice Ukrainians made in 2013 to step out of the parasitic, authoritarian model of governance imposed by Russia and switch into Western democracy, simply because it works. For the parasitic Russian elites this is of course unacceptable, because when a parasite loses its host, it can no longer survive - at least not without changing its own feeding mode.
