This is a very wonderful book honoring both historical and modern "hidden figures" -- brilliant African American women mathematicians. This book is also a math activity book for 3rd to 8th graders, with lots of fun math puzzles and activities for them to do. Authored by Dr. Shelly M. Jones, professor of mathematics at Central Connecticut State University.

Note -- in this book review, I was going to add a tour of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority web site. Stop by their web site https://aka1908.com/ to learn more about the ways this sorority has brought goodness into this world.
I should mention that this book makes for an excellent gift.
