In the soft afternoon sun, my daughter and I went up to the roof. A light breeze was blowing all around, birds were returning home. Holding her little hand, I showed her the changing colors of the sky, and she watched in fascination. Sometimes she would run from one corner to another, saying, “Daddy, hold me!” I would catch her laughing, and then release her again. Sometimes she would pick flowers, sometimes she would sit on my lap. Suddenly she would ask, “Why is the sky so big?” — her question filled my heart. These small moments are the real peace of life. That evening spent on the roof was an unforgettable time filled with love.
