This is a mock-up of the shot, with an animated video standing in for the matted live-action shot (from the greenscreen shoot). The video is presented on a plane in the 3D animation, rigged to always face the camera.
The "flotsam" is incomplete, and there are some animation errors (the globe). Specifically, I plan to add the "marmalade jar". Of course, the flotsam is chosen to mirror Alice's dialog, thematically.
This updated video now features the bats (forgot to update the description, though).
I also just plan to add more random pieces to it, including some more furniture, pots, pans, some books, etc.
As this takes about 30s per frame to render, I rendered this video at 10 frames/second to get it done more quickly. The final will be at 30 fps (normal US video frame rate).
I switched to 4:3 ratio (from 16:9), because it's probably what the projector will support, and also because the composition looks better for this sequence anyway.
The voice is just me with a pitch filter -- I wanted to make sure the frequency windows worked out with the background ambience and music.
