Another jamgame, but not an adventure game, but this game has my hooked and puzzled at the same time even though the concept is very simple actually, break the jar and help the creatures escape while you more or less control them all at the same time like a crazy multiplayer multiball lemmings. The later levels had my kicking and screaming but somehow I managed to not give up and show you this complete playthough that should also work as a walkthrough for some. Though it is a bit tricky as sometimes I feel I used some glitches to smuggle the jar through some blocks that should be blocking, but then... there is no other way in this life to make it through there, so finding out how to trick the game while playing by the rules was really nerve wrecking. The original recording is 45 minutes, but since noone wants to see me fail a bazillion times you now only see the first try, then the other failed tries compressed into 1 minute (2 minutes for the last level) and then the final playthrough that solves the level. Should be more fun to watch, and let me tell you, It is even more entertaining to takes this video as recommendation and go through the struggle yourself! maybe! The resolution is low, as expected on the pico 8 fantasy console, the tiles are well made and you can see the action and understand it in no time and immediately see where there is danger. Though sometimes the creatures are generated as 1-2 pixels in size only, that is distracting and easy to miss and thus lose the pixelheap to lava that can lead to frustration. There is no music, but the sfx get the job done. The controls do work most of the time, though sometimes picking up the jar is only pushing it closer to an edge, sometimes it is hard to get on top of the jumping bunch to jump off of them, that is very frustrating. And the mentioned weird blocking blocks that are suddenly letting you walk through and that is the solution, that adds to the frustration, but somehow the game has so much charm it made me complete it...
