177 A Prelude to an Adventure (AGS) Free LowRes Pixel Art Point and Click Adventure Game Travel Prepare

time3 mo agoview0 views

an incredibly beautifully pixeled and sadly way too short adventure game about getting ready for an adventure (without actually going to the adventure as this is a jam game made on a very tight deadline). The 2 characters are very lovely as are their animations transporting all their emotions and character. The music is very fitting and gets you in the right mood for the game which's native reasolution is only 64x64 pixels. The fishing puzzle is great, I'd like to have to use the cooker on the bad river water myself rather than just clicking the water and she uses it already as this takes away one more interaction in the short game but all in all a great game for 2 weeks deadline! There is a newer final version out now with a longer fishing minigame and even variations in the fishes you can catch and a library for them and some smaller gameplay changes. Play the new version of the game to see it all, but the changes are not that big to make me record the 6 minutes game again...

Synopsis: This game was made in two weeks for the #LOWREZJAM2020.

I guess the game itself would be best described as an interactive experience with light puzzle elements. Sadly, a lot of the planned puzzles, interactions and even locations are still missing, because we simply ran out of time, but hopefully there will be a more polished and completed version released in the future.
