And here we are in 17 It's 84 all over again Picking up the Threads Blown on the Wind
I half expect to hear Patrick's words And Roger's tune, it's quite absurd Will Charlie catch this crazy twittering bird
Zeitgeist was written on the back of how I was starting to feel that - thanks to Trump, Brexit, et al -the world was beginning to feel off-kilter. I was sort of starting to feel like I did when I was at school in the early/mid 80s, where everywhere you turned, it seemed the shadow of potential nuclear war was hanging over us. Threads, When the Wind Blows, Protect & Survive, Nagasaki Nightmare - even War Games I guess, amongst others - we weren't short of reminders. And being a Lincolnshire lad, Vulcans flying overhead on what seemed like a weekly basis just added to the unease. Strange days, indeed.
Anyway, this dropped out. I've always wanted to use the Protect & Survive tones in a tune. :)
